Fabric Bowl

I've been wanting to do a sewing tutorial for ages; but for one reason or another, i've never got past my to do list.these little fabric bowls are great and even more so as they are quick to make and only use small pieces of fabric. i use these in my sewing studio/office for paper clips, buttons, rubber bands. the choice is yours!this is my first tutorial and i do not profess to being very good at describing things, so please read all the instructions first. Spring Skirt

The "pattern" for this strippy skirt is a rectangle of fusible interfacing that's 7 inches wide and as long as your widest hip measurement. All you have to do is sew darts along the rectangle to make the top edge equal your waist measurement (while keeping the bottom edge the same). If you don't think you have enough fabric to make enough strips to fit across your shaped interfacing, you can cut some strips out of a coordinating fabric—that looks great, too!

From Rae: Rae grew up in West Michigan and learned how to sew at a wee age from her mother. After graduating with a science teaching degree from college, she maintained sewing as a hobby while teaching middle and high school science and math full-time for seven years. When she “retired temporarily” to stay home with her baby boy two years ago she picked up sewing and pattern design as a more serious pursuit. She spends most of her free time sewing and blogging about sewing at Made by Rae, and has a small Etsy shop (happy giraffe) where she sells handmade goods and sewing patterns. She plans to finish her Master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Science at Wayne State University this summer. She currently resides in the metro Detroit area with her husband and toddler.
